Eyal Cohen, 36, grew up in Jerusalem. He studied at the Hebrew University High School (Leyada), where he got to know and love the subjects of physics and mathematics.
Following his military service in the air force intelligence division, Eyal did his BSc in physics and mathematics at the Hebrew University.
In 2009, he joined the research group of Prof. Yossi Paltiel at the applied physics department, studying towards an MSc in applied physics. His research dealt with solving the atomic structure of epitaxial quantum dots using an innovative X-Ray diffraction method.
Eyal currently continues towards a PhD at Paltiel's lab, studying the collective effects properties of coupled quantum dots.
