My research is concerned with psychology of logical reasoning. In particular, I investigate the linguistic conditions on scalar reasoning, the impact of scalar reasoning on the performance in logical reasoning tasks, the logical and grammatical underpinnings of free-choice and ignorance inferences with modified numerals, and the semantics of non-integer numeric expressions.
I'm a postdoc in philosophy at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, after getting my DPhil this year from the University of Oxford. I work mainly on the philosophy of language, metaphysics, and epistemology.
I'm a Senior Lecturer in Bar Ilan University, Ramat-Gan, Israel. My main interest is in language and cognition, in particular the cognitive basis of semantic and pragmatic concepts. My research stresses the use of empirical methods including corpus studies converged with experimentation (research of acceptability judgments, acquisition, processing, and ERP, in collaboration with experts) to test implications of formal semantic theories.
