I am Nur Kassem, a Master's student in Clinical Psychology. I have a bachelor degree in Psychology and English Literature from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
My research investigates the behavioral and neural mechanisms concerning empathetic accuracy among in-group versus out-group members. Moreover, I am interested in researching the functional differences of neural and behavioral mechanisms when using a native language in comparison to a foreign language. As for the clinical field, I am currently doing my practicum in Clalit East Jerusalem Clinic. In the past, I worked as therapeutic mentoring with autistic individuals. Throughout the years, I have served as a research assistant, a psychometric tutor, and a social and academic mentor to first year students at the Hebrew University. On my free time, I enjoy kayaking and swimming.
