About

We investigate, theoretically, the physical mechanisms that underlay fundamental mechanical
processes of cells and tissues. For instance, we study how cells acquire their shape, and
how forces that develop in this process govern the establishment of cytoskeleton structure and
polarity. In addition, we investigate how forces locally generated by cells influence other cells
in the environment to govern global changes in cell organization and tissue morphogenesis.
