2012 - Ultra-fast and Attosecond Science

Attosecond and ultra-fast science is a fast growing field that aims at probing and controlling electron/nuclei dynamics in the microcosms of atoms, molecules and solid-state structures. Recent developments of various techniques such as single-isolated attosecond pulses, laser-induce electron's diffraction, photo-electrons spectroscopy and harmonic spectroscopy, open new frontiers, both in time and space resolution, to probe the microcosms' dynamics.

The 2012 Annual Conference of the Peter Brojde Center for Innovative Engineering and Computer Science will be devoted to introduce the recent developments and various techniques, used to generate such ultra-fast probe and the implementation of such tools for studding the fascinating world of electrons/nuclei motions.

The conference will take place February 28th, 2012 in “YAD HASHMONA” near Jerusalem (http://www.yad8.com/). The conference is planned to provide a wide introduction to the subject, thus it is aimed for scientists and engineers from the academia and the high-tech industry, as well as students.
