Yael Kurzweil Segev, 32 & mother of four. She was born in Jerusalem. During her national service she volunteered in a rehabilitation center for children with cerebral palsy. In 2001 she graduated from the B.Sc program called "Integrated program in exact sciences", at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem - major in physics and minor in chemistry. She completed her M.SC degree in Applied Physics under the supervision of Prof. Aharon Agranat. Her research topic was : "The influence of thermodynamic imbalance of the electro-optic effect near the ferroelectric phase transition". In 2010 she started studying towards a Ph.D. under the supervision of Prof. Yuri Feldman. Her research topic is "water structure and dynamic in the vicinity of biological materials.
