Nir Sukenik
Nir Sukenik, 29, lives in Jeusalem.
Nir studied at the Hebrew Reali High School in Haifa majoring in Physics and Biotechnology.
Did a gap year as a guide for the Israel Parks Authority, then served in the IDF as a commander in the Artillery Corps.
In 2012 he started his B.Sc. in Physics and Chemistry. During the 2nd year of his studies he worked in Dr. Lioz Etgar lab working on photo-voltaic cells, and during the 3rd year of his studies he started working inĀ the Quantum Nano Engineering Laboratory under the supervision of Prof. Yossi PaltielĀ where he now does his M.Sc.
His research focuses on creating a super-conductor, organic-molecule, normal-metal junction. This junction can teach a lot about the electrical transport properties of organic molecules and this knowledge is essential for the field of Molecular Electronics.
