Gal Baruch Hitin is a M.Sc. student in the Applied Physics Department at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Gal was born and raised in Netanya. He graduated from Ort Guttman high school's excellence class, majoring in Physics and Biology. He joined Israel's Naval Forces as a certified technician and electronic warfare platform operator on board of the Israeli Naval Ship 'Hanit'. Gal started his academic studies at HUJI in 2007, received his B.Sc. in Physics and Biology in 2011 and started his M.Sc. degree at Prof. Uri Banin's laboratory. His research focuses in the sub-diffraction optical and physicochemical properties of single nanostructure microscopy and spectroscopy.
