Uri Weiss, born in 1989, is currently studying at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem for his M.Sc. in applied physics under the supervision of Ori Katz. Uri was born in Rehovot and studied at Amit high school. During his IDF service Uri served as staff sergeant in the combat engineering corps. He then did his B.Sc. in physics and biology at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Uri studies wavefront-shaping using a spatial light modulator and non-linear effects of light which may enable to focus light through diffusive materials such as biological tissues and multi-core fibers.
