Yuval  Kolodny

Yuval Kolodny, 29, is a M.Sc. student on an accelerated track in the Applied Physics Department at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, participating in the M.Sc. Nano-Technology program, as well as MBA program in Bio-Med in the Hebrew University Business School.

Yuval started his undergraduate studies in Electrical and Computer Engineering, after serving for six years in the IDF as an intelligence officer. Prior to his military service he volunteered for a year as a youth guide for outdoors activities in the Negev. At high school Yuval studied Physics-Chemistry-Computer Science-Mathematics.

Yuval is a member of Prof. Yossi Paltiel research group, doing his research in the field of Quantum Biology, focused on studying the possibility of long lived quantum coherency, enabling highly efficient energy transfer in photosynthetic light harvesting protein complexes. He also works on developing a medical device using the same protein as a bio-marker for Bilirubin levels in human blood.
