Opening day started with welcome addresses by Martin Egelhaaf (Vice-Rector of Bielefeld University), Marc Schalenberg (ZiF), Michal Linial (IIAS) and Ulrike Davy (Bielefeld University). The first session of phase 2 was led by Gertrude Lübbe-Wolff (Bielefeld University; Justice of the German Federal Constitutional Court, 2002-2014). The fellows (Emily Kidd White, Sima Kramer, Vanessa Hellmann and Akemi Kamimura) contributed from there fields of research.
