Mayer Brezis, MD MPH, is Professor of Medicine at the Hebrew University, where he teaches evidence-based medicine and public health. He is Director of a Center for Quality & Safety at Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem, Israel. He is Board certified in Internal Medicine & Nephrology, after training at Harvard & Beth Israel Medical Center in Boston. He is on sabbatical at the Israeli Center for Medical Simulation in Tel-Aviv – where he leads a national training project for physicians and nurses to improve quality of care at the end of life. Fields of interest include: bioethics, education, communication and market failure.
