Ron Roth
Ron Roth is a Ph.D. student at the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. In 2010 he was awarded an LL.B. and a B.A. in Jewish history, with distinction, from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. After working as an attorney – both in a private firm and later at the State's Attorney's office - Roth commenced a direct track Ph.D. program in Jewish history and received a university fellowship for excellence. His research focuses on the various aspects of the concept of Human Dignity and the nature of its relationship with human rights; and on the development of the application of Human Dignity in the Israeli judicial, political and social discourse. The research pays special attention to the interaction between Human Dignity and the Holocaust, Jewish tradition and contemporary Jewish thought.
