Shai received her undergraduate degree in Psychology and Philosophy (Magna Cum Laude) from Tel Aviv University and her MSc in Clinical Neuroscience (with Distinction and on the Dean’s List) at University College London, England. In her Master’s thesis, she used GWAS methodology and genetic meta-analysis, to explore genetic risk factors for delirium tremens, a neuropsychiatric syndrome. Currently, Shai is a PhD candidate under joint supervision of assistant Prof. Omer Revah at the Faculty of Agriculture, Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and Prof. Orly Reiner at Weizmann Institute of Science. Shai implements stem cell technologies, CRISPR cloning and transcriptomics to build better models for neurodevelopmental disorders.
