Gurupada Hazra obtained his B. Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from Vidyasagar University, West Bengal, India. In 2019, he has completed his doctoral studies under the supervision of Prof. Prasanta Ghorai at Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Bhopal, India. His doctoral research was focused on asymmetric synthesis of various heterocycles via bi-functional organocatalysts. After that he moved to Prof. Thirupathi Barla Lab for his 1^st postdoctoral study at Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Berhampur, India. There he worked on aryne chemistry. He joined Prof. Masarwa research group at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel in December 2022.
