We are investigating the assembly process of wilde-type simian vacuolatubg virus 40 (wtSV40) and the assembly of virus-like particles that are based on the capsid proteins of SV40. This work is done in collaboration with the labs of Ariella Oppenheim, Dr. Yael Levi-Kalisman, and Mike Hagan.
We are investigating how do:
- SV40-like particles encapsidate their genome.
- Divalent ions interact with wt SV40.
- wtSV40 particles pagkage their minimchromosome.
- pH stability and disassembly mechanism of wtSV40.
