Hagai Bergman of the Department of Neurobiology at the Hebrew University is the recipient of the third Dr. Otto and Alice Blumberg Prize, which is administered by JNF KKL Germany, for his outstanding research in the computational physiology of the basal ganglia and their disorders, namely Parkinson's disease and schizophrenia using deep brain stimulation procedures.
Hagai was awarded the prize in a festive May 7 ceremony at the Hebrew University School of Medicine in the presence of family, friends, and a delegation from JNF-KKL Germany.
