We just completed our 2nd Annual Retreat at Mitzpe Ramon.
This year, the JBC invited its members and their students, to share and discuss their research.

For the first time, the JBC initiated a Student Poster Contest.
Students presented their findings during a poster exhibition. 13 students were selected to present their research during a presentation blitz. Where they had five minutes to discuss their findings to the audience. From the 13 students, 3 were chosen to receive prizes.
Congratulations to:
- 1st Place Award, 2500 shekels: Amit Vinograd, (Adi Mizrahi), Figure-Background Separation in the Mouse Olfactory Bulb.
- 2nd Place, 1500 shekels: Asaph Zylbertal, (Yosef Yarom), Spontaneous Waves of Excitatory Activity in the Accessory Olfactory Bulb.
- 3rd Place, 1000 shekels: Henricke Horn, (Inbal Goshen), Identification and Characterization of Astrocyte Sub-population.
In addition to the lectures, we enjoyed the beautiful scenery of the desert, during the day and at night: Night Sky with Telescopes, Tour of an abandoned quarry, Dinner in the Ramon Crater and a Bicycle Ride along the Crater.
