As part of his ERC-funded research project, Prof. Ram Frost, Department of Psychology, is offering a fully supported PhD position focused on the neuro-biological and neuro-computational basis of statistical learning and its interface with language learning.
The successful candidate will join an interdisciplinary research program studying the cognitive and neural mechanisms underlying statistical learning and language learning from behavioral, EEG, MEG, and computational perspectives.
Candidates with knowledge and interest in computational modelling of psychological and neural processing are encouraged to apply; candidates with prior training in neural network (connectionist / parallel distributed processing) are particularly encouraged to apply. Applicants from the cognitive sciences will be considered, including psychology, computational linguistics, computational neuroscience, computer science, machine learning, etc.
Applications that include a brief description of research interests and names of two potential referees should be sent to: ram.frost@mail.huji.ac.il
